This assumes you are using the provided BD Computer.
Install 32-bit Windows 7 SP1
- make sure you have SP1
Install drivers (BD-provided computer)
- Firepro v3900 GPU
- Intel NICs
- Will install license key driver automatically
Install DIVA
Make sure Firewall is off (firewall config will happen after the program installs
Turn on Cytometer, wait about 2 minutes for it to boot
- Can watch progress through PuTTY on COM1
Select LSRFortessa and High Throughput sampler
Will load firmware
- If that fails, check firewall, connection through PuTTY, and if its joined to the domain (I installed DIVA before joining it)
Once it is done, restart.
Restore the database through the Data Utility
- Other stuff needs to happen other than just copying over the files.
Join to Domain
Reboot
Verify these tasks:
- Log into DIVA
- Connect to cytometer
- Access CST
- Verify that the base configuration is correct
Troubleshooting
Permission issues on Login or on CST
- Make sure that
C:\ProgramData\BD\Shared
andC:\ProgramData\BD\FASCDiva
have Users & System granted full control
No connection to cytometer
- Ping 192.168.1.1
- Verify PuTTY
- Verify that Java can traverse firewall (Cytometer network is usually on public profile)
Other Notes
- It uses FTP to transfer firmware and configuration to the cytometer
64-bit
Can be installed on a 64-bit machine but 32-bit java requires a contiguous chunk of RAM. You'll need to have a quite a bit of free memory available to do this or you might run into issues starting it.
