Dell OpenManage ESXi

ESXi Installation

Download the VIB for ESXi. I used the most recent one for 5.5 and it worked fine on ESXi 6.0. 1

Copy the file into /tmp.

Enable SSH on the vSphere host and connect to it.

Type this, you can use tab auto-complete at the end.

esxcli software vib install -d /tmp/OM-SrvAdmin-Dell-Web-*

Now it will ask you to reboot the server.

This will be the UI that you will connect to.

Download the OpenManage Server Administrator Managed Node software. 2

Once it completes installing, use your vSphere login for the username/password.

Make sure it is installed

esxcli software vib list

Make sure you ignore certificate warnings.
